Furnace Installation in Medical Lake

A new furnace should run quietly, heat every room evenly and last for many winters. We size it to your home, install it carefully and keep the same small crew with you from the first visit to the final startup. Estimates are free on installations and replacements.

When a new furnace is the right call

Most furnaces give clear notice before they quit. Repairs start coming every season, parts get harder to find, and the bills creep up while the house feels less comfortable. At that point, putting more money into the old unit rarely pays off. If a repair still makes sense, we will tell you so and point you to our furnace repair service instead.

When replacement is the better choice, we start with your home rather than a catalog. We look at square footage, insulation, windows and how the existing system is laid out, then recommend a furnace that fits. An oversized unit cycles on and off and wears out early. An undersized one runs constantly through a January cold snap and still leaves the back bedrooms cool.

The people who measure your home are the people who install the furnace. Nothing gets lost between a salesperson and a crew you have never met.

What your installation includes

A heat load calculation
We work out how much heat your home actually loses so the furnace is sized by the numbers, not by the old unit's label.
Careful removal of the old unit
We disconnect, drain and carry out the existing furnace, then haul it away. Floors and walkways are covered on the route in and out.
Gas, venting and combustion air
High-efficiency condensing furnaces vent through PVC and need a condensate drain, while standard models use metal flue pipe. We set up the gas connection, venting and combustion air to match the furnace you choose and test every joint for leaks.
Thermostat and electrical hookup
We wire the new furnace and connect or replace your thermostat so the two work together, including two-stage or variable-speed settings.
Startup and a full walkthrough
We fire the furnace, check gas pressure, temperature rise and safety controls, and show you how to change the filter and read the system.

Signs it may be time to replace your furnace

  • Repairs every season

If you are calling for a new igniter one winter and a blower motor the next, the money is better spent on a furnace that will not need it.

  • Uneven heat from room to room

An aging furnace with a worn blower struggles to push warm air to the far ends of your home.

  • Rising gas bills

Older furnaces lose efficiency as heat exchangers and burners wear. When usage climbs and nothing else in your home has changed, the furnace is often the cause.

  • Yellow flame, soot or odd smells

A burner flame should be steady and blue. Yellow flames, soot around the cabinet or a persistent smell point to combustion problems that need attention right away.

  • A cracked heat exchanger

This is one of the most serious furnace faults because it can let combustion gases mix with the air you breathe. On most older units, replacement is the safe answer.

What affects the cost of a new furnace

Every home is different, so we price each installation after seeing it in person. The quote lists the furnace, the labor and any extra work so you can compare options clearly. These are the main things that move the number.

Efficiency rating

A condensing furnace in the 95 percent range costs more up front than an 80 percent model but uses less gas every winter. We can show you how the two compare for your home.

Size and staging

Larger homes need more capacity. Two-stage and variable-speed furnaces cost more but run quieter and hold a steadier temperature.

Venting changes

Moving from a metal flue to a high-efficiency furnace means new PVC venting and a condensate drain, which adds materials and labor.

Fuel and location

Natural gas and propane furnaces differ in setup. A unit in a tight crawlspace or attic takes more time than one in an open basement.

Permits and thermostat

Permit fees and a new thermostat, if you want one, are listed as separate lines on your quote.

How a furnace installation runs

  1. 1

    The home visit

We look at your current system, measure your home and talk through how each room feels in winter. Then you get a written quote before any work begins, with the furnace model and each part of the job listed.

  2. 2

    Permit and scheduling

We pull the mechanical permit and set an installation date that works for you. In cold weather we plan the day so your home is without heat for as short a time as possible.

  3. 3

    Installation day

Most replacements finish in a single day. The same crew removes the old furnace, sets the new one, connects gas, venting and power, and cleans up as they go.

  4. 4

    Startup and inspection

We run the furnace through full cycles and confirm it is operating safely. We then coordinate the permit inspection so the work is signed off.

Furnace installation questions

How long does a furnace installation take?

Most straightforward replacements are done in one day. A switch to a high-efficiency furnace with new venting, or a unit in a hard-to-reach spot, can take a little longer. We give you a realistic timeline when we quote the job.

Should I choose an 80 percent or a 95 percent furnace?

It depends on how long you plan to stay in your home, where the furnace sits and how venting can be routed. With long, cold winters, a condensing furnace often pays back through lower gas use. We will lay out both options honestly and let you decide.

Will I be without heat during the install?

Only for part of one day in most cases. The old furnace stays running until we are ready to swap it out, and we schedule cold-weather installs to get your heat back on as early as possible.

Do you install propane furnaces?

Yes. Many homes outside town, toward Cheney and the rural areas around Medical Lake, run on propane. We set up the furnace for the right fuel and confirm gas pressure at startup.

Is the estimate really free?

Yes. Estimates are free on installations and replacements, and you get a written quote before any work begins. There is no obligation to go ahead.
